patrimo

How it works

A short, honest tour of what Patrimo is, and what it isn’t.

In one sentence

Patrimo is a private place to record everything someone you love would need to know if you weren’t there to tell them — and to release that information to the right people, on terms you set.

Encrypted on your device

Your master password never leaves your browser. We store only encrypted blobs. If our servers are stolen tomorrow, the thief gets ciphertext and a list of email addresses. Nothing about your vault.

Released only on your terms

Trusted contacts get access through a printed Legacy Access Code, plus an email confirmation, only after the platform’s dead-man switch has run its course. You’re always in the loop until you’re not.

It is not a will

Patrimo does not legally transfer anything. It tells your loved ones where the will is, who the lawyer is, where the safe-deposit-box key lives. Engage a real estate-planning lawyer in your jurisdiction.

Continuity

We document our operational continuity plan publicly. See /continuity.
